Overview

Owatrol Prepdeck is a premium-grade solution for the removal of old solid and semi-transparent stains, as well as unsightly grade stamps and other finishes from wood surfaces.

Functioning as a three-in-one product, Prepdeck can be used in various applications. When used undiluted, it effectively strips away existing finishes, stains, marks, and grade stamps, ensuring the surface is primed for further treatment.

In diluted form, Prepdeck reduces the mill glaze on new wood, improving the surface's ability to accept penetrative finishes.

Prepdeck can also be diluted for use as a powerful wood cleaner, capable of removing stubborn marks and stains, providing cleaning solutions for your wood surfaces.

Preparation

Remove any loose and flaking finish. Brush off any physical surface contamination i.e. moss, general dirt etc.

Application

Always carry out a preliminary test prior to commencing the job, to determine the contact time necessary for stripping or cleaning the wood. Wear chemical resistant gloves, safety goggles and protective clothing.

Tools recommended: Synthetic Brush/scrubbing brush, Roller with synthetic cover, garden Sprayer

• Shake or stir product well before and during use including diluted solutions.
• Use Prepdeck as is or dilute according to “Dilutions”.
• Keep the surface wet with Prepdeck while it is working.
• After rinsing ALWAYS neutralise surface with .
• Work large areas in zones.

Aftercare & Storage

Do not use a wire brush to scrub the surface.

Allow wood to dry thoroughly, 2-3 days before refinishing.
